3. Bleeding Wax Candelabras

3

Nothing says ancient vampire lair quite like the slow, hypnotic drip of crimson wax down a towering candelabra. To create this mesmerizing effect, start with heavy, tarnished brass or matte black multi-armed candelabras. The secret lies in the layering of the candles themselves. Place standard white or ivory taper candles into the holders, and then take a separate red candle, light it, and carefully drip the melting red wax over the tops and sides of the white candles. As the red wax cascades down, it creates the striking illusion of fresh blood dripping down pristine pillars. When you light the white candles during your gathering, the heat will cause the pre-dripped red wax to melt further, keeping the dynamic “bleeding” effect alive throughout the night. Place these on your mantelpiece, dining table, or dark corner pedestals to cast a warm, eerie, and atmospheric glow over the entire room.
