14. Shadowy Window Silhouettes
Make your home look incredibly ominous from the outside by creating shadowy window silhouettes that tell a story to passersby. Using large sheets of black poster board or heavy cardboard, cut out life-sized silhouettes of elegant, caped vampires, outstretched bat wings, or gothic window arches. Tape these silhouettes directly to the inside of your window panes. At night, close your sheer white curtains behind the silhouettes and place a bright red, orange, or purple light source behind them, pointing toward the window. From the street, your home will appear to be glowing from within, casting sharp, terrifying, and unmistakable shadows of vampires lurking in the windows, watching the neighborhood below.
