6. Gurley Novelty Halloween Wax Candles
Gurley candles are the epitome of vintage charm. While they originated in earlier decades, they remained a staple of 1980s autumn centerpieces. These small, decorative paraffin wax figures were shaped like chubby pumpkins, friendly ghosts, black cats, and cartoonish witches. Because they were so beautifully detailed and painted, almost no one actually burned them. Instead, they were lined up along fireplace mantels, dining tables, and windowsills, slowly gathering dust and acquiring a beautiful, aged patina over years of display.
