9. Shadow Silhouette Windows
Turn your home into a neighborhood attraction by transforming your front windows into giant, illuminated shadow boxes. Using black poster board or heavy cardstock, cut out large silhouettes of classic Halloween monsters—such as a witch stirring a cauldron, a howling werewolf, a creepy butler, or swarms of bats. Tape these cutouts directly to the inside of your window panes.
Close your sheer white curtains behind the silhouettes and turn on a bright lamp or colored LED light bulb (orange, green, or purple works best) inside the room. From the street, your windows will display sharp, dramatic, and spooky silhouettes glowing against a colorful backdrop. It is a highly effective, low-cost way to decorate your entire home’s exterior with minimal effort.
