14. Pendant Lights over Seating Areas
A small courtyard often has a poolside lounge area. Hanging oversized pendant lights above this area creates a “room” feel, anchoring the space and drawing the eye.
How to make it: Install a structural beam or heavy-duty hook over the lounge area. Hang a weather-resistant outdoor pendant fixture.
Ingredients needed: Outdoor-rated pendant light fixture, heavy-duty mounting hardware, weatherproof cord and plug.
