19. Vertical Slatted Wood Lantern Black Hybrid
Combining Eastern architectural traditions with modern industrial finishes, the vertical slatted wood lantern fan is a masterpiece of light and shadow play. Surrounding the central fan mechanism is a cylindrical or drum-shaped cage composed of finely spaced vertical black wood or metal slats. Hidden inside this dark architectural cage is both the quiet fan rotor and a warm, glowing central light cylinder.
When turned on, the light shines through the fine vertical slats, casting a mesmerizing, 360-degree pattern of linear light and shade across the room’s walls and ceiling. The warm light contrasting against the dark slatted structure exudes a calming, spa-like ambiance reminiscent of luxury Japanese ryokans or modern Scandinavian lodges. It serves as an extraordinary center-piece for serene bedrooms, moody dining rooms, and cozy lounge spaces.
